CardVault is provided by Bartłomiej Bocian. For privacy questions or requests concerning support correspondence, contact support@simplycard.pl.
Local wallet storage
CardVault stores loyalty cards, barcode values, descriptions, notes, tags, favorites, and preferences locally on your device. The app does not send your wallet contents to the developer, operate user accounts, or synchronize your cards with the developer’s servers. You can choose to export or share a copy as described below.
The app has no advertising, third-party analytics, or separate crash-reporting SDK.
Camera and barcode scanning
The camera recognizes barcodes on your device. Camera frames are processed temporarily and are not saved or sent to the developer. You can decline camera permission and enter card numbers manually. Camera permission can be changed in your device’s Settings.
Expiration reminders
You can enable local expiration reminders in CardVault's Settings and grant notification permission. CardVault schedules them on your device; no notification server receives your wallet data. Notifications can show a card's name and expiration date on your lock screen and in Notification Center. They do not include barcode values, card numbers, or notes.
You can turn reminders off in CardVault or manage notification permission and previews in your device's Settings. Deleting a card, removing its expiration date, or turning reminders off cancels its scheduled reminders.
Copying card numbers
When you choose to copy a card number, CardVault places it on the system clipboard. Sharing clipboard contents between devices depends on your system settings. CardVault does not read unrelated clipboard content.
Storage, deletion, and backups
Wallet data remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app’s data. You can delete individual cards or clear all cards in CardVault’s Settings. Clearing cards does not clear saved tags or preferences. Deleting the app can remove its local wallet.
Device backups may include CardVault data, depending on your system settings. Backup retention and deletion are managed through your device settings and backup provider. CardVault does not operate a cloud backup service or cloud synchronization.
The developer cannot remotely access or delete your on-device wallet.
Exporting and importing cards
In Settings, you can export all saved cards and their custom tags to a JSON file. The file includes card numbers and barcode values, card names, descriptions, notes, favorites, colors, icons, dates, and custom tags. It does not include your app preferences.
Exported files are not encrypted. You choose where to save or share them using the system file interface. If you choose a cloud storage provider or share the file with another person or app, that provider or recipient receives the file and its contents under its own practices. CardVault does not send exports to the developer.
When you select a CardVault JSON file for import, the app reads and validates it on your device before adding cards and tags. Existing cards are retained. Importing does not upload the file to the developer.
Deleting cards or removing CardVault does not delete copies you previously exported or shared. Manage those copies through their storage provider or recipient. Keep exports private, and do not attach them to support messages.
Support correspondence
If you email support, the developer receives your email address and the information you voluntarily include. That information is used to answer your request and handle related follow-up. Do not send membership numbers, barcodes, card images, wallet files, or personal notes.
Support messages are stored in the support mailbox while handling your request and any necessary follow-up. To request deletion of support correspondence, email support@simplycard.pl. Any applicable retention obligations may affect deletion.
Public privacy and support pages
The public website is hosted on servers provided by SEOHOST. The server and hosting infrastructure may process technical request data, such as IP address, requested URL, access time, browser information, and response status, to deliver pages and operate and secure the service.
The scope and retention of server logs depend on the server configuration and the hosting provider’s practices. See SEOHOST’s Privacy Policy for information about the provider’s handling of personal data.
The developer has added no advertising, analytics, tracking code, or forms to these pages. Opening a page does not attach your wallet contents to its web request.
Apple services
Apple may separately process device diagnostics and backups according to your sharing and backup settings. These services are governed by Apple’s privacy information.
Policy updates
This policy may change when the app or support practices change. The current policy and its effective date will remain available on this page.
